Végh Ákos

"My birthplace is Tata, Hungary. It is where my parents worked as veterinarians and this is the place where I was a student, I founded my workshop and where I work nowadays as well with my wife doing the pottery profession."

Végh Ákosné Hilda

"I started to learn the craft at Majolika factory in Hódmezővásárhely and finished in Budapest at Vocational Secondary School of Visual Arts as an intermediate ceramist.
We arrived here from different ways: from the masters of folk ceramic trough vocational school to the individual experimentation.
We would like to set our products in casual living, make those useful and modern, just to please anyone in everyday life.
That’s how an ancient profession’s pots gathering dust on museums’ shelves could turn to helpful objects in our days."
